Banbury Christmas Tractor Run

Now in its 11th year, the Banbury Christmas Tractor Run is the big one in north Oxfordshire. A long convoy of tractors, dripping in fairy lights, rumbles through the villages and into town, stopping traffic (literally, around Banbury Cross) and raising money for Katharine House Hospice. Last year it raised around £95,000.
Date: Saturday 12 December 2026
Time: 5pm to 8:30pm
Location: Starts and finishes at Spring Hill Farm, Barford St Michael. The route goes through Bloxham, Banbury, Adderbury, Aynho and Deddington.
The tractors leave Spring Hill Farm at about 5pm. Please don’t go to the farm to see them off, as it’s very busy getting the convoy lined up. Pick a spot along the route instead:
5:10pm: South Newington
5:25pm: Milcombe
5:45pm: Bloxham
6:05pm: Banbury, along the Oxford Road
6:15pm: Banbury Cross
6:40pm: Sainsbury’s
6:50pm: Banbury Rugby Club
7pm: Adderbury and Katharine House Hospice
7:25pm: Aynho
7:45pm: Clifton
8pm: Deddington marketplace
8:15pm: Hempton
8:25pm: Barford St Michael
Times depend on traffic, so get there a little early, wrap up warm, and have some change ready for the buckets.

The Red Lion, Bloxham: live music, stalls and a food truck
Banbury Cross: market traders with food and drink
Banbury Rugby Club: hot food and drinks from the outside bar
The Pickled Ploughman, Adderbury: 10% of outside sales go to the hospice
Buzzy Beans, Aynho: hot drinks from the layby off the B4100, plus a local fireworks display, with everything raised going to the hospice
The George, Barford St Michael: hot dogs, hot chocolate and mulled wine outside
Parking: Banbury Cross is closed to traffic from about 5pm to 8pm. Parking is available at:
Bloxham: Bloxham Mill (OX15 4FF), Bloxham School (OX15 4PE) and The Warriner School (OX15 4LJ)
Banbury: Banbury Cricket Club (OX15 4AA) and Banbury Rugby Club (OX15 4AF)
The Red Lion’s car park in Bloxham is closed on the night. Wherever you park, please keep pavements and driveways clear.
